🌈 Pride Was in Full Bloom! 🌈
Vertical Harvest had an incredible time celebrating Pride Month at the Portland, Maine Pride Parade this past weekend! We were honored to march alongside our amazing friends from @doublehouseartscollective
and @thegoodcrust , united in our shared commitment to inclusion, resilience, and community.
From the creative art sign making session to the colorful march through the streets to the joyful gathering at Deering Oaks Park, the day was filled with love, laughter, and powerful reminders of why visibility and equity matter. Pride isn’t just a moment — it’s a movement we’re proud to grow with, every day. Our community of friends in Maine is growing!!!
Also, the massive pizza art piece by The Good Crust was the hit of the parade!! Well done!!
[Image Descriptions: Images one through three are group shots before and during the parade. Images four through seven are each of two people arm in arm smiling with the Wicked Inclusive tshirts on. Image eight is of Alicia holding the large pizza and Natasha holding a Rainbowlicious sign. Image nine and ten are group shots. And image eleven is of Peter holding his Together Together sign.]
💜 A huge thank you to everyone who showed up, showed out, and helped spread the message that all people deserve to be seen, celebrated, and supported.

🌱 We had a blast at the People’s Market in Jackson this week! 🌱
We`re thrilled to be joining @tetonslowfood at their new Local Growers Booth!
We’re currently trialing new products and growing methods—both for our next-gen farm in Maine and through our research partnership with the University of Wyoming—so offerings may vary from week to week. But if you’ve been craving our radically delicious greens, now’s your chance to swing by, say hi to your friendly neighborhood farmers, and get a taste of what’s growing. Drop by on Wednesdays, now thru Sept 24th!
💚 Bonus: Any extra greens head straight to our friends at Hole Food Rescue. So there’s zero excuse not to come get your fresh fix.

🌿 Vertical Harvest at the 2025 Celebrating INCLUSION Dinner & Auction
We were thrilled to recently join the Cromwell Center for Disabilities Awareness (@cromwellcenter) at the Cambria Hotel in Portland, ME for an inspiring evening of community, connection, and support for disability awareness and inclusion in Maine schools.
Together, we helped raise vital funds to foster respect, kindness, and inclusion among children across Maine classrooms. It was an honor to stand alongside so many dedicated supporters of this important mission.
A big thank you to the Cromwell Center and all attendees for a beautifully successful event—we’re proud to be part of a community that uplifts every ability.

🌱 Big ideas, big hearts, and big potential 🌱
A couple of weeks ago, our Co-Founder and Director of Human Potential, Caroline Croft Estay (@carolinecroftestay), and Head of Farm Technology & Systems, Arik Griffin, visited the University of Wyoming (@uofwyoming) to help formalize a powerful new partnership.
Together with Central Wyoming College (@cwc_rustlers) and others, we’re proud to be part of the new UW CEA Network—uniting educators, industry, and communities to position Wyoming as a national leader in Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA).
💡This collaboration will help us:
🌱 Grow green tech careers
🌱 Advance sustainable ag solutions
🌱 Support inclusive learning
🌱 Drive rural economic impact
🚀 What’s next:
🌱 Joint research & data sharing
🌱 Student internships & hands-on learning
🌱 Co-developed CEA curricula
🌱 Innovation between farm & lab
“Not only is this an opportunity to grow industry knowledge in-state, but it’s also a chance to expand opportunity in cutting-edge, green technology careers within the disability community.””—Caroline Croft Estay
“Exploring how the environment, plants and microbes interact in hydroponic systems to increase yield is a key aspect of establishing cost efficiencies and positive unit economics for the industry. This is essential for Vertical Farming 2.0, and CEA overall, to move into its next phase of growth.”—Arik Griffin

🎥 “What Does the Grow Well Model Mean to You?” 🌱💬
We asked our team what Grow Well means to them—and their answers speak volumes. From purpose and belonging to opportunity and friendship, it’s more than a model. It’s the heart of how we farm, hire, and thrive together. 💚
👕 And speaking of thriving…
Our crew’s also pretty hyped about something else: NEW MERCH!
(Limited edition. High vibes. Grown with purpose.)
🎬 Watch `til the end.
