🌿 Vertical Harvest at the 2025 Celebrating INCLUSION Dinner & Auction
We were thrilled to recently join the Cromwell Center for Disabilities Awareness (@cromwellcenter) at the Cambria Hotel in Portland, ME for an inspiring evening of community, connection, and support for disability awareness and inclusion in Maine schools.
Together, we helped raise vital funds to foster respect, kindness, and inclusion among children across Maine classrooms. It was an honor to stand alongside so many dedicated supporters of this important mission.
A big thank you to the Cromwell Center and all attendees for a beautifully successful event—we’re proud to be part of a community that uplifts every ability.

🌱 Big ideas, big hearts, and big potential 🌱
A couple of weeks ago, our Co-Founder and Director of Human Potential, Caroline Croft Estay (@carolinecroftestay), and Head of Farm Technology & Systems, Arik Griffin, visited the University of Wyoming (@uofwyoming) to help formalize a powerful new partnership.
Together with Central Wyoming College (@cwc_rustlers) and others, we’re proud to be part of the new UW CEA Network—uniting educators, industry, and communities to position Wyoming as a national leader in Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA).
💡This collaboration will help us:
🌱 Grow green tech careers
🌱 Advance sustainable ag solutions
🌱 Support inclusive learning
🌱 Drive rural economic impact
🚀 What’s next:
🌱 Joint research & data sharing
🌱 Student internships & hands-on learning
🌱 Co-developed CEA curricula
🌱 Innovation between farm & lab
“Not only is this an opportunity to grow industry knowledge in-state, but it’s also a chance to expand opportunity in cutting-edge, green technology careers within the disability community.””—Caroline Croft Estay
“Exploring how the environment, plants and microbes interact in hydroponic systems to increase yield is a key aspect of establishing cost efficiencies and positive unit economics for the industry. This is essential for Vertical Farming 2.0, and CEA overall, to move into its next phase of growth.”—Arik Griffin

🎥 “What Does the Grow Well Model Mean to You?” 🌱💬
We asked our team what Grow Well means to them—and their answers speak volumes. From purpose and belonging to opportunity and friendship, it’s more than a model. It’s the heart of how we farm, hire, and thrive together. 💚
👕 And speaking of thriving…
Our crew’s also pretty hyped about something else: NEW MERCH!
(Limited edition. High vibes. Grown with purpose.)

THANK YOU to our longtime tech partner Thrive Agritech (@thriveagritech) for helping us shine even brighter. 🌱💡
Thrive recently sponsored $10K worth of growing trays, expanding our custom LED lighting systems in Jackson with the same high-performance lights used at our farm in Maine. Now, these lights are powering harmonized crop trials and driving smarter, scalable, year-round growing.
As part of this collaboration, Thrive also sat down with our Head of Farm Technology & Systems, Arik Griffin, to talk about how tailored light recipes and trusted tech partners like Thrive help us scale with purpose.

🌱 This May, in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, we`re proud to partner with the Wellness Center at St. John’s Hospital in Jackson by donating our fresh microgreens and specialty greens. This meaningful connection took root when the Wellness Center joined our Weekly Boost—a team-wide gathering that fuels inspiration and connection across Vertical Harvest. That visit sparked a collaboration grounded in a shared purpose: wellness for all.
That purpose came to life when Vertical Harvest employee Ty Warner, supported by Pete Estay, delivered vibrant, nutrient-packed greens straight from our farm to the heart of the hospital.
By the end of May, we will have donated 160 lbs to St. John’s—16 boxes total!
This is another way Vertical Harvest likes to nourish the local community here in Jackson—and if you want to support activities like this, consider Sponsoring a Tray! We have over 1200 trays in Jackson that feed into the local food system and donations just like this! Visit the link in our bio or www.verticalharvestfarms.com to grow with us!
